Senior Logistic Support Analysis (LSA) Engineer

Would you like to play a key role in the development and delivery of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) for Royal Navy warships? We currently have a vacancy for a Senior LSA Engineer at our site in Filton.

As a Senior LSA Engineer, you will be working across platforms such as the Type 45 destroyers and the prestigious Queen Elizabeth Aircraft Carrier programme. You will be responsible for managing LSA for the ships, focusing heavily on data (supplier data, maintenance data and design information).

This role will provide you with the chance to work with a novel approach to integrated logistics support, as well as the opportunity to influence and shape ILS for future naval ship programmes. This is a growing area of the business, which will offer excellent career development potential.

Your main responsibilities as a Senior LSA Engineer will involve:

Provide specialist LSA/ Logistics Support Analysis Records (LSAR) expertise, effort and advice in the management of the LSAR tool, the data it contains and the related integrated toolset

Applying knowledge and expertise to analyse the impact of physical changes to the ship configuration on the ILS dataset, as well as populating the results

Applying system and process knowledge to analyse the impact of updated material from Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) suppliers on the ILS dataset and populating the results

Working with the T45 Class Output Management (COM) team to identify and resolve in-service dataset issues

Interfacing with the Master Records Data Centre to maintain definitions for the BAE Systems supported scope

Supporting the BAE Systems Mission Systems Deployed Services in respect of management of and update to Unit Maintenance Management System (UMMS) account settings and content

Analysing complex datasets to autonomously determine appropriate ILS outcomes, which feed into a shared, complex and integrated ILS dataset

Your skills and qualifications as a Senior LSA Engineer:


Experience of the management and population of a DEF STAN LSAR database

Good understanding of configuration management

Good understanding of principles of data management

HNC/ HND level engineering qualification (or equivalent if from Royal Navy Maintainer background)

Ability to read engineering drawings


Naval experience

Experience of using Eagle (records for LSA) or similar system

UMMS maintenance management systems knowledge
