Field Service Engineer
Would you like to play a key role ensuring the successful maintenance and availability of Hybrid Buses to both UK and International customers? We currently have a vacancy for a Field Service Engineer at our site in Rochester.
As a Field Service Engineer, you will be based out of Rochester, working within the Hybrid Bus Field Service team. You will be required to travel both within the UK and occasionally abroad, as dictated by the customer requirements. You will be responsible for facilitating the on-site support and repair of these products, as well as dealing with predictive maintenance and customer queries.
This role will provide you with the chance to influence engineering solutions whilst working with cutting edge technology. There are a wide number of career paths available for future progression including Senior and Principal level engineering roles, as well as moving into other fields, such as aerospace.
Your main responsibilities as a Field Service Engineer will involve:
Performing fault investigation, commissioning and calibration procedures to fulfil customer requirements
Additional tasking on legacy equipment in-service, may be required with our many customers world-wide
Travelling at short notice as part of a team or individually to meet the business needs and commitment of our customer base
On-the-job training of the customer's staff is often a requirement of the role in particular when new products are introduced in to service
Dealing with customer queries and providing diagnosis of faults/ potential solutions
Using vehicle data provided by the customer to work on predictive maintenance activities
Your skills and qualifications as a Field Service Engineer:
BTEC level or equivalent qualification or relevant experience within an electronics discipline
Full driving license
What we're looking for in you:
You must possess a proactive approach to your work, alongside the ability to work autonomously or as part of a team. You must also have excellent communication skills to be able to articulate technical information to stakeholders at all levels.
You will be effective at completing tasks in a timely manner to help the customer achieve their goals, whilst providing excellent customer support.
A flexible approach to working practices and hours is required for this role and it is essential that you are prepared and able to travel within the UK and overseas as required.
Salary: £27,500+ (in addition to 20% service allowance uplift)
