What’s the opportunity?

An opportunity has arisen in the CEO’s Office to be part of the Group Internal Audit team providing assurance to the MBDA Board covering all MBDA’s activities.

What will the successful candidate be doing?
  • Assurance is provided to the MBDA Board by undertaking Internal Audits covering all of MBDA’s activities. The successful candidate will be required to plan audits, undertake fieldwork, report to the management and board, and follow up on recommendations made.
  • In addition, the successful candidate will be required to contribute to the continuous improvement and development of the team’s activities.

Who and what are we looking for?
  • Primarily, we are looking for someone who has the ability to undertake audits of financial activities. However, they need to be willing to carry out non-financial auditing as well therefore a broad business knowledge would be beneficial.
  • They need to be self-starting as they will be leading audit engagements and change activities
  • Highly developed communication and influencing skills; as an ability to communicate with and convince senior management is essential
  • As the role includes international working, cultural sensitivity and diplomacy is essential
  • Team working is important within Internal Audit therefore it is necessary that the successful candidate can work effectively as a team member
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to identify the nature of an ill-defined problem and then adapt a solution through alternative thinking
