What’s the opportunity?
We are looking for a highly motivated Quality Technical Capability Manager to work in a multinational role with the Group Head of Quality Technical and Technical Directorate Functional Managers to assist in the development and enhancement of Technical Function processes to ensure excellence in Technical Directorate activities.
 
What will you be doing?
  • Manage the development and enhancement of Technical Function processes, procedures, and methods to ensure excellence in Technical Directorate activities
  • Identify and mitigate risks and issues/problems associated with process application, effectiveness and compliance.
  • Manage the development of Quality Assurance policies and capabilities relating to the Quality Technical Assurance activities in order to ensure the quality needs of the business and customer are achieved.
  • Manage Quality support to the Technical Function Management in the Capability Domains in conjunction with the Quality Nominees, in order to provide a focus on Quality by developing Quality ownership, establishing Quality processes, indicators and delegations as necessary.
  • Liaise with the operational Quality Technical (QT) Managers, technical experts and Quality Programmes to ensure that capability, functional and process issues/problems that are impacting project deliverables are captured, managed and addressed with the Quality Nominees and Technical Function Management.
  • Working with the National QT Managers to ensure that the team has the skills and capabilities needed to provide Quality Assurance to the Technical Directorate
  • Working with the QT National Managers to provide support to the Technical Function Quality Nominee as appropriate
  • Assist the development and maintenance of the Business Management System (BMS – the company process set) processes and Technical Libraries in order to establish common processes and methods across MBDA.
  • Support / facilitate process and directorate reviews
  • Provide support to Technical Functions during BMS Certification at MBDA level

Who you are and what we are looking for from you?
  • You are an experienced Quality Assurance / Engineering  professional with a good understanding of systems and software development practices
  • You have a collaborative but objective approach
  • You communicate clearly, both orally and in writing
  • You remain calm under pressure and cope well with unexpected changes
  • You can work independently or as part of a functional and integrated team,  and can plan and prioritise your own work
  • You can grasp the essentials of a project process plan, or quality problem but still work the detail
  • You can take the initiative when something needs to be done
  • Ideally have an engineering degree or equivalent
