The Warsash School of Maritime Science and Engineering offers maritime education, training and consultancy to the marine industry across a variety of academic and professional disciplines.

The School is now looking to recruit an enthusiastic and experienced engineer with a specialism in marine electrical and electronic systems to join the marine engineering section and be part of a dynamic engineering team delivering professional and academic Marine Engineering subject areas to officer cadets and senior students.

Applicants for the full-time Engineering position will ideally possess a UK MCA Electro-technical Officer STCW III/6 Certificate of Competency or relevant equivalent experience and qualifications.  A good knowledge and understanding of modern large merchant vessel electrical and electronic systems and equipment is essential. Experience of systems used in the superyacht sector would also be an advantage.

Applications for this Lecturer post are encouraged from individuals with suitable professional and academic qualifications to degree level or equivalent in the relevant area.  An academic background with teaching experience is desirable but not essential as the successful applicant will be supported in completing a Post Graduate teaching qualification.
