The Role
The ISP organisation is responsible for procuring direct and indirect products and services for both projects and the business. The successful candidate will bring their experience and knowledge to provide internal stakeholders with support on all contingent worker and offload services.
This is a key, strategic opportunity to support the future workload with an agile and adaptive approach.
The Opportunity
  • Develop and implement sourcing and procurement strategies for  contingent worker and offload services
  • Responsible for the national strategy for the category;involvement and working with our international category managers to develop a wider strategy
The Main activities
  • Prepare, negotiate and agree supplier contracts and  frame agreements and ensure that these are being used effectively by the internal stakeholders
  • Define a sourcing Strategy, and apply competitive methodologies to drive down prices to achieve and preferably exceed pre-agreed performance targets
  • Manage Supplier reviews with preferred and key suppliers in conjunction with contract milestones and SLAs
  • Drive supplier tenders to achieve value for the business and introduce new suppliers to challenge the current supplier base
  • Build supplier relationships that generate value for both MBDA and the suppliers
  • Manage the risks within the categories, escalating to the Domain Lead where relevant
  • Research market intelligence to identify trends and innovations for the category
  • Provision of category data to the Domain Lead
Who and what are we looking for from you?
  • Preferably CIPS Level 4+ Qualified
  • Demonstrable experience of the procurement life cycle
  • Confidence in negotiating with suppliers, and making recommendations to internal stakeholders.
  • Fully competent in drafting contracts and framework agreements including mitigation of risk to the business
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Regular UK travel and occasional European travel required

  • Team player with cultural sensitivity
  • Able to work within a demanding and changing environment
  • IT skills in terms of data analysis, manipulation and presentations
