Would you like to thrive in a pivotal role in the development and delivery of naval ships projects? We currently have a vacancy for a Systems Team Engineering Lead at our site in New Malden.
As a Systems Team Engineering Lead, you will be required to undertake the management of a defined range of SI (Shared Infrastructure) system activities, in line with all relevant processes and quality requirements. This is an opportunity to play a key role in the management of the SI product across multiple projects, managing a team of significant size in a complex organisation in a key area of the business.

Your main responsibilities as a Systems Team Engineering Lead will involve:
Manage the Shared Infrastructure Systems team on a daily basis
Reporting on activities, over-seeing tasks, looking for commonality of approach, understanding dependencies and issues
Dealing with the financial tracking and reporting of activities being undertaken by the team
Management of resources within a matrix organisation, with conflicting needs and timescales
Supporting the production of training plans and overseeing the general development of members of the team
Make sure the benefits of a SI product are understood and are being realised within the team
Liaising with the customer and other teams within the projects to achieve the completion of the projects to time and budget
Your skills and qualifications:
Previous experience gained from an engineering background
Proven managerial experience to include, budget management, resource management, team tasking and leading
Producing reports to feedback to the business
Experience with Ms Office packages and planning and tracking software
Experience within Naval Combat Systems
