From senior stakeholders to junior developers,
you’ll make sure everyone is speaking the same language.
Here at HMGCC, we’re a centre of technical excellence. Using world-class tech, we develop unique communication systems to help safeguard the country. We’re now looking for individuals with excellent communication skills. People who can help us to find solutions to complex problems – all while inspiring everyone from senior stakeholders to junior developers.
In this crucial role, you’ll keep up with ever-evolving technologies, and lead the end-to-end development of key products. These solutions will work across various domains, helping to solve some of the most complex problems. In fact, you’ll take on challenges considered too difficult or sensitive to be taken on elsewhere.
Uniquely, you’ll decide on your specialism. You might directly lead a team of developers – defining, planning and monitoring their work. As part of this, you’ll collaborate with project managers to successfully deliver the product on time. Proactive, you’ll choose how to split your time between hands-on development and technical management.
Or, with a passion for systems engineering, you’ll analyse the wider systems and problems we need to integrate. Working at both a project level and a programme level, we’ll look to you to bring clarity to complex situations. This’ll see you leading on the front end of the engineering lifecycle, and shaping the requirements for future developments. No matter which specialism you pursue, you’ll drive and deliver the innovation we need to stay ahead'.
To join, you’ll have experience of developing physical products, where you had to understand technical elements of the solution. Thanks to this background, you’ll confidently liaise with customers and lead multi-disciplinary teams of development engineers. Plus, you’ll have a practical understanding of the principles and techniques used in shaping engineering projects.
Ideally, you’ll have experience of projects or programmes involving elements of software development. But importantly, you’ll have excellent communication skills, along with a natural ability to influence customers and stakeholders. Forward-thinking and driven, you’ll constantly improve your professional development and solve problems.
In return, you’ll take advantage of a creative environment, world-class training and flexible working. And when you make sure everyone is speaking the same language, you’ll see results that are out-of-this-world.
