In our fight against crime, powerful technologies can deliver a knock-out blow. You’ll make sure of it when you work with UK academia and other research partners to discover the latest innovations and turn them into next-generation operational capabilities. The kind that can help track down criminals, provide incriminating evidence and create watertight cases.

Fundamental to this role is the ability to find solutions to complex operational challenges in an innovative way by using significant broad proven experience .Building a clear understanding of the needs of Operational teams, you’ll manage a research programme that spans everything from gathering requirements  to proof-of-concept prototypes. .  

Wherever you’re managing technology research currently, you’ll have proved you can collaborate with academia. And you’ll have a record that shows you know how to assess the feasibility of research proposals across the range of technologies, develop business cases, negotiate contracts and deliver research projects on time and within budget. A member of a professional institution, holding an Honors Degree in a relevant Engineering/Scientific related discipline and possibly equipped with a relevant MSc or PhD, you’ll be familiar with a broad range of technologies – including general electronics, audio- and video-based systems and communications and RF systems.
