Summary

As the Senior Mechanical Integrity Engineer you will be the primary point of contact for all operational asset integrity issues and assure the effective implementation of the Risk Based Inspection (RBI) programme within the maintenance management system (SAP), and subsequent processing of data generated in the execution of that programme e.g. inspection reports, anomaly reports etc. You will be accountable for continuous update of the RBI programme; defining and managing the budget for their asset; planning and managing offshore resources; execution of the inspection programme. The aim is to maximise plan attainment with all anomalies / findings assessed and processed as per procedure.

The role

As an experienced professional engineer you will provide leadership to the asset team and site execution contractors, ensuring compliance with statutory regulation, company policies, standards and contractor inspection procedures, working towards asset integrity team and company goals. You will be the primary point of contact for the relevant asset with regard to all operational asset integrity issues. Defining, managing and controlling the asset integrity budget for an asset you will ensure integrity programmes are included in annual and long range plan and are fully supported by appropriate budget and resource requirements.

Working with the Integrity Engineer, you will make sure the preparation and issue of workpacks is on time.

You will be responsible for, and coordinate all 3rd party topside (structural, pipework, pressure vessels etc.) inspection (structural, pipework, pressure vessels etc.) activity e.g. NDT teams, ensuring that inspection isometrics and P&ID’s are updated based on inspection findings. Key aspects of the role are to ensure safe and timely implementation of the topside asset integrity programmes in accordance with Asset Integrated Activity plans (90 day and 28 day) and to Implement asset integrity Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s), to demonstrate regulatory and internal compliance, measurement of ‘risk’ and complimentary to maintenance management metrics.

Responsible for the acceptance and sign off of all inspection reports / completed workpacks and sign off / close work orders within the maintenance management system you will also ensure timely analysis of inspection results and specify appropriate remedial actions, following through to timely completion and close-out. To Capture all asset engineering modifications (Greenfield/Brownfield) within the inspection programme e.g. baseline inspections, inspection management database update is required.

The person

Significant experience within asset integrity; RBI programmes, inspection, Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), Fitness for Service assessment, Non-Invasive Inspection (NII) programmes is required.

You will be educated to degree level with Incorporated / Chartered Engineer status and possess strong operational knowledge of the upstream or other high hazard industry with significant experience in engineering and operations.

As a safety leader you will carry out frequent personal and process safety oriented site visits which engage the workforce and contractors.

You will need to be up to date with UK regulatory environment, standards and industry best practice and have the ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with internal customers and external regulatory bodies.
